GMail is used to communicate information to open the lines of communication between teachers and students. For example, teachers can email assignments and feedback to students, and students can write to their teachers when they have questions about work or are absent.

Google Drive is starting to take the place of Microsoft Office because it offers many of the same tools, only simplified. The benefit of Drive is its cloud capabilities. Students can access their work from anywhere that they can sign in to Google--whether they are home sick or on vacation--without the need for a USB flash drive. Also, with Google Drive, students can collaborate on assignments using the sharing features that have earned Google so much acclaim.



Google Calendar is being used by some teachers as a means of posting classwork, homework, and school events. The ability to share calendars is also helpful for parents who like class information to be seamlessly synced to their personal Google calendars.



Google offers an array of tools that students can use, both in and out of the classroom. We encourage our students to explore the tools and learn how to use them to drive their own success and creativity.
